About

Skrobonja

Financial Group
We didn’t build this firm to simply manage money. We built it to help coordinate what’s possible for families in transition.

For over 30 years, Skrobonja Financial Group has worked alongside successful professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs at the most consequential financial moment of their lives, the transition from building wealth to protecting it, living on it, and passing it on.

What we’ve built isn’t a traditional advisory practice. It’s a coordinated system, a Virtual Family Office designed to deliver the kind of multi-discipline, fully integrated financial planning that used to be reserved for families with $50 million or more.

We’re based in St. Louis. We work with clients across the country. And we’re proud of both.

Brian’s Story

Why I Built This

I grew up in a blue-collar family in St. Louis. My dad came from Croatia, worked hard his entire life, and was one of the most resourceful people I’ve ever known. But he traded time for money his whole career, and I watched that limit what was possible for him no matter how hard he worked.

In my twenties, I made the same mistake. I chased the lifestyle before I understood how wealth actually works and spent years working harder just to keep up. It took doing it wrong before I had the clarity that changed everything: real financial freedom doesn’t come from earning more. It comes from building assets that generate income, so money works for you instead of the other way around.

That realization became the foundation for everything I’ve built since 1993. Thirty-plus years of sitting across the table from successful families and entrepreneurs at exactly the moment that matters most, when the transition from building wealth to protecting it, living on it, and passing it on becomes real.

Why I Built WealthSyncTM

Skrobonja Financial Group

Brian Skrobonja, ChFC®, CPWA® · Founder & President

0:00 / 0:00

What I kept seeing over those years was the same pattern. Smart, disciplined people who had done everything right, and were still exposed to risks they didn’t know they were carrying. Not because they were careless. Because nobody had ever looked at the whole picture with them.

Every advisor was handling their piece. Nobody was sitting at the center making sure it all worked together.

WealthSync™ was built to solve that problem. Not as a product or a portfolio strategy, but as a consultative process that puts a coordinated system around your entire financial life.

My job isn’t to manage your money. It’s to help make sure you never have to wonder if something important is being missed.

The Team

The People Behind the Process

WealthSync™ isn’t a one-person operation. It’s a coordinated team, each person playing a specific role in making sure your experience is seamless, your questions are answered, and nothing falls through the cracks.

Brian Skrobonja, ChFC®, CPWA®

Founder & President & Chief Wealth Advisor

Brian leads the firm’s vision, client strategy, and the ongoing development of the WealthSync™ Processᴵᴾ. With 30+ years of experience working with families and entrepreneurs in transition, he is the architect of the coordinated planning approach that defines how every client relationship is built and maintained.

Tyler Skrobonja

Chief Operations Officer
& Senior Wealth Advisor

Tyler oversees the firm’s operations and works directly with clients as a Financial Advisor. His dual role ensures that the client experience and the internal systems that support it are both running the way they should: coordinated, efficient, and held to the same standard the WealthSync™ Processᴵᴾ demands.

Hannah Loflin

Client Service Advisor

Hannah is one of the primary relationship managers of the firm. She works closely alongside Brian and clients every day. When you reach out with a question, a concern, or a need for clarity, Hannah is often the first person you’ll hear from. She is the client’s advocate, triangulating and coordinating the right team members and resources to support the planning objectives and makes sure nothing gets lost in translation.

Shane Lee

Client Service Advisor

Shane is one of the primary relationship managers of the firm. He works closely alongside Tyler and clients every day. When you reach out with a question, a concern, or a need for clarity, Shane is often involved, triangulating and coordinating with the team to help ensure every service request is being fulfilled.

Tennessee Ervin

Onboarding Service Advisor

Tennessee is behind getting new clients fully activated inside the WealthSync™ Processᴵᴾ. He gathers the documents, collects the information, and supports the advisors with everything they need to deliver on what’s been committed. His work in the onboarding phase is what makes the rest of the process possible: organized, complete, and ready to move.

Our Extended Resources Team

One Relationship. Every Discipline You Need.

One of the most meaningful things about the Virtual Family Office model is what it makes accessible. Most advisory firms offer investment management and maybe financial planning. We coordinate a full network of specialized professionals, each an expert in their discipline, all working within the WealthSync™ Frameworkᴵᴾ.

This isn’t a referral network. It’s a coordinated team, and the difference matters. When every professional is working from the same picture and communicating within the same system, decisions don’t happen in isolation. They happen in context.

For our clients, this means one relationship that opens the door to every capability they need, without the friction of managing multiple disconnected advisors on their own.

CPAs & Tax Professionals

Proactive tax strategy requires more than a tax return. Our CPA relationships are integrated into the planning process, so tax decisions are made before they’re locked in, not after.

Estate Planning Attorneys

Estate planning is more than documents. Our attorney relationships help ensure that your estate plan reflects your intentions, coordinates with your financial structure, and is kept current as your life evolves.

Property & Casualty Specialists

Protection planning extends beyond life insurance. Our property and casualty relationships help make sure and your assets, real estate, business interests, and personal property, are covered in ways that align with your overall plan.

Business Consultants

For entrepreneurs and
business owners, the financial plan and the business plan are inseparable. Our business consulting relationships support exit planning,
business valuation, and the transition from business equity to personal wealth.

Advanced Planning Team

Complex situations require specialized expertise. Our advanced planning relationships bring in the right professionals for sophisticated tax structures, trust design, charitable planning, and other strategies that go beyond standard planning.

Investment
Management Team

Investment management is one layer of the WealthSync™ Frameworkᴵᴾ, not the whole picture. Our investment management relationships help ensure that portfolio decisions are made in coordination with income needs, tax strategy, and the overall financial plan.

Plan Design Team

For business owners and executives with qualified plans, plan design matters. Our plan design relationships help structure retirement plans that serve both the business and the individual in the most tax-efficient way possible.

Mortgage & Banking Professionals

Liquidity, leverage, and banking strategy are part of a complete financial picture. Our mortgage and banking relationships help ensure that financing decisions are made in the context of the overall plan, not in isolation.

A boutique firm with the reach of a family office.

Every discipline. All coordinated. One relationship.
What We Believe

The Values Behind the Work

We’ve been doing this long enough to know what matters, and what doesn’t.
One
Coordination over fragmentation.

Every discipline working together produces better outcomes than every discipline working independently. That’s not a philosophy, it’s what thirty years of watching both approaches produce has taught us.

Two
Clarity over complexity.

Our job is to simplify, not impress. If a client leaves a meeting more confused than when they arrived, we haven’t done our job. Clarity is the deliverable.

Three
Relationships over transactions.

We don’t make money when clients make moves. We make money when clients are well-served over time. That alignment matters, and it shapes every recommendation we make.

Four
Honesty over comfort.

We’ll tell you what we see, even when it’s not what you were hoping to hear. That’s the only way trust gets built and maintained over decades.

St. Louis Roots. National Reach

Proud to Be St. Louis. Built to Support Nationally

Skrobonja Financial Group was founded in St. Louis and has called this city home for over 30 years. We’re proud to be a trusted resource for the St. Louis community, and to have built a practice here that reflects the work ethic and straightforwardness this city is known for.

We also work with clients across the country. The WealthSync™ Virtual Family Office model was designed to deliver coordinated, multi-discipline planning regardless of geography. If you’re in St. Louis, we’d love to meet in person. If you’re anywhere else, we can deliver the same experience virtually.

What matters isn’t where you are. It’s where you’re headed, and whether you have the right process and framework to get there.
HOW WE’RE COMPENSATED

A Question Worth Asking.
An Answer We’re Comfortable to Give.

How a financial firm gets paid shapes every recommendation it makes. That’s why we believe you deserve a straight answer before you ever schedule a call.

Our compensation structure follows the same principle as our planning process: every piece has a specific role and should support what’s right for your situation.

Your plan is developed in stages, with each stage building on the one before it. Along the way, there are decision points involving products, services, or strategies that may help support your planning objectives. When those decisions arise, we explain the available options, any relevant tradeoffs, and the fees or compensation associated with them.

Investment Management Fee

For assets managed through Skrobonja Wealth Management, LLC, we apply an advisory fee based on assets under management. This fee is paid monthly in arrears and covers ongoing portfolio management, monitoring, rebalancing, and coordination within the WealthSync™ system. Because this fee is tied to the value of your portfolio, not to transactions, our interests are aligned with yours. When your portfolio grows, we do better. When it doesn’t, we don’t.

Insurance Compensation

For insurance-based strategies implemented through Skrobonja Insurance Services, LLC,
compensation is received through the insurance carrier in the form of commissions. This is
standard across the insurance industry. What makes our approach different is that insurance recommendations are always evaluated within the context of your full WealthSync™ plan, never in isolation and never to simply generate a transaction. The recommendation has to serve

your plan before it ever becomes a recommendation.

Securities Compensation

For certain securities transactions handled through our broker-dealer relationship, compensation may be transaction-based. These transactions are evaluated and implemented as part of the broader WealthSync™ investment strategy, not as standalone product sales. The compensation is what we consider institutionally paid since any payment to our firm comes from the company offering the product, not from our client’s deposit. Your entire deposit is reflected on your statement without a reduction for sales charges.

Planning Fee

In some situations, we may charge a standalone planning fee. This happens when the scope of work required, the complexity of your situation, the depth of planning involved, the coordination required across disciplines, requires additional resources and time not adequately covered by investment management fees or insurance compensation alone. When the work we do and the services we provide warrant additional compensation, we say so directly and discuss it before we begin. There are no surprises.

Our goal is simple: our compensation should be aligned with the value we deliver. If it’s not, we’ll tell you.

For complete information about our fees and compensation, please refer to our Form CRS
and ADV disclosures, available upon request and on our website.
